A fresh voice for Legislative District 13
After winning the Harry S. Truman Scholarship for public service in 2009 and the Woodrow Wilson-Rockefeller Brothers Fund Fellowship for aspiring educators in 2010, Rockee became a public-school teacher. There, she taught English and Mathematics while also coaching Track & Field, instilling her students with self-respect and a drive for excellence. After five years in the classroom, Rockee became a school administrator where she received an award for outstanding achievement from the organization representing local parents.
Dr. Armstrong currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching & Learning Innovation where she conducts research to support school leaders all over the country. She holds a BA in Urban Studies-Economics from Wellesley College, a MSEd from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the Fisher College of Business, and a PhD from The Ohio State University.
